Press release from the issuing company

Free WhatTheyThink webinar, sponsored by Screen, discusses the impact of B2 sheet-fed presses on the production inkjet market

Lexington, Kentucky USA - WhatTheyThink today announced the opportunity for industry professionals to attend a free printing industry educational webinar. B2 High Speed Inkjet Has Arrived. The session will be moderated by WhatTheyThink Senior Editor Cary Sherburne and feature two printers who have found value in adding a B2 sheetfed inkjet press to their production portfolios. The session is scheduled for Wednesday, August 21st, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm EDT (-4 GMT).

No-charge registration is available by visiting WhatTheyThink.com and selecting the Webinars tab.

“At drupa 2012, there was significant buzz about B2 format digital printing,” said Sherburne. “Some products were to come; others already available. This session will feature two print service providers who have successfully implemented sheetfed B2 inkjet printing and are reaping the benefits.  Join us to hear their stories.”

Sherburne will be joined by:

  • Brian VanderHooning, COO, Foremost Communications. VanderHooning has been working in the printing industry in various capacities since 1987.  He studied Business Management while serving as second pressman on 40” presses so is well-grounded in both the production and business sides of the company.  Foremost is headquartered in Grand Rapids Michigan, has annual sales of $16 million and employs 95.
  • Kirk Vercnocke, CEO, Phoenix Innovate. Vercnocke is a sales and marketing innovator who has helped launch a number of companies in the fields of data industry research, Tier One automotive supplier, employee benefit consulting and marketing.  He founded Phoenix Innovate in 1987 with his brother Geoff with the goal of providing unequalled service and performance to its clients and the marketplace.

“Production inkjet is a hot topic in the run-up to Print 2013,” said Randy Davidson, CEO of WhatTheyThink. “Many printers are now looking at sheetfed options, especially B2, in order to better integrate with standard offset printing workflows. We appreciate Screen’s generosity in sponsoring this important industry event, making it available to our viewers at no charge.

Attendees will be able to participate in a live question and answer session to get the most from the experience and will be able to view and listen to the presentation using a standard Internet browser with audio streamed via computer.
