BMJ and BMA renew 3-year contracts with Polestar

Press release from the issuing company

BMJ and BMA have renewed their contracts with Polestar for production of their major weekly and monthly journals for a further three years.

The journals are currently produced at Polestar Chantry and Polestar Petty. Moving forward production of the key weekly titles will be split with Polestar Bicester to allow the tightest possible time-sensitive production window from data supplied to mailing.

Catherine Harding-Wiltshire, Head of Production & Operations at BMJ, said: ‘We’re delighted to renew our contract with Polestar. They have done a great job over the last three years. They listen to their clients and adapt to fit a changing environment every time. The new acquisition means Polestar have solved our scheduling issues and we can now produce our titles to the deadline we need without the having to split the contract across multiple vendors, saving us a logistical nightmare. We’re very happy.’

James Povey, Marketing Director – UK Print at Polestar, said:
‘We are really thrilled that BMJ and BMA have renewed their contracts with Polestar. We put great store by our relationship. We have sought to maximise the breadth of firepower across our Group to achieve their requirements and are very excited about moving into this new phase together.’
