All Roads Lead to Growth for locr

Press release from the issuing company

Developer of technology for creating personalized maps expands sales and marketing activities in the United States

Braunschweig, Germany - locr, (www.locr.com) the world’s leading provider of personalized maps and geolocation services, today announced the details of their continued expansion in the United States. This expansion builds on the successful introduction of the company earlier this year, and includes the hiring of new sales and marketing personnel, as well as plans for a strong presence at PRINT 13, happening September 8 – 13, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois.

locr offers personalized maps that can be included in all forms of marketing communications, including print, email, mobile, video, and pURLS.  Including these personalized, detailed maps within your marketing campaign enables you to create an emotional connection with your audience - they literally visualize themselves visiting a business or location. Research has shown that adding such a high-level of personalization leads to better response rates and increased customer satisfaction.

Rolf Richter, CEO of locr says, “The introduction of our technology earlier this year was met with an extremely positive response. Everyone – from industry analysts to marketing service providers – was enthusiastic about the way locr could add such high levels of personalization in marketing campaigns. We are now building on that success by adding new sales and marketing people to our team and expanding our presence at PRINT 13. With all of this work in place, the second half of 2013 will be as successful as the first.”

Expanded Sales and Marketing

Randy Hardy has joined locr to lead business development in the United States. He brings a wealth of business and document management experience to his role, including work for Fortune 500 companies. Randy serves as Chairman of the Xplor Association Board of Directors and was the Chair of the 2013 Xplor User Conference and Vendor Forum. Hardy has founded several successful businesses and has extensive experience assisting European firms with US market entry.

locr has also hired Marion Williams-Bennett, Principal at Create Communications, to oversee locr’s public relations and communications efforts in the United States.

In September, locr will be showcasing its technology at PRINT 13. In addition to exhibiting in their own booth, #4673, locr will also be participating in the Printerverse, an educational and networking haven for those involved in the graphic arts.  The Printerverse will feature a variety of ways to interact with print, including some the latest innovative technologies and applications. The Printerverse is located at booth #5440.
