GMC Software Technology Hires Jamie Harris to Head Diversified Services Group

Press release from the issuing company

GMC Software Technology (GMC), the award-winning leader in Customer Communications Management (CCM), today announced the hiring of Jamie Harris to lead the company’s Diversified Services development efforts in North America.

Harris joins GMC with over 14 years in the document management industry, bringing knowledge and expertise in virtually every area of software. Harris will drive GMC’s North American initiative to enlarge its presence in the telecommunications, utilities, retail, transportation and government sectors. Additionally, he will continue fostering the impressive success GMC has already established in gaining market leadership in the print service provider (PSP) industry. The company has witnessed a dramatic growth with PSPs over the years, where GMC Inspire is now the standard software solution for the large enterprise customers in banking, insurance, healthcare, telecommunications and utilities that PSPs serve. Harris will report to Steve Francis, president and general manager of GMC.

Harris started his career in the document industry in 1999 as the North American director of sales for ISIS Papyrus. He left to become regional sales director at Exstream Software where he quickly became vice president of diversified services, growing the division to have the largest customer base in the company. After HP acquired Exstream in 2008, Harris managed the company’s interactive product, Live, rollout in both North America and Europe. Prior to joining GMC, Harris held the position of CEO of CleverSpring, a start-up software company in Texas.

“This is a significant hire for GMC, as Jamie brings a wealth of experience to support our focused growth in Diversified Services,” said Steve Francis, president and general manager of GMC for North America.” Jamie provides us with the expertise and experience important to meeting the needs of companies in this dynamic marketplace. He is well-positioned to assist enterprises of all sizes in realizing the significant return on investment that having the right customer communication management tools can deliver in terms of customer retention and reduced costs.”

“It is very rewarding to be in a position to show companies in the industries my team will focus on all the benefits the GMC Inspire solution brings when it comes to turning legacy systems into streamlined modern communication systems,” said Harris. “I am also looking forward to further supporting our valued customers in the print service provider arena, many of whom I have worked with in the past. I am excited to be part of the GMC family.”
