IDEAlliance Honors Industry Leaders with 2013 Vision, Service, and Leadership Awards

Alexandria, Virginia - IDEAlliance®, has announced the recipients of its most prestigious membership awards for 2013, honoring industry leaders for their Vision, Service, and Leadership.

Jim Mikol, Mikol and Associates, previously Executive Vice President, Director of Global Print Production for Leo Burnett Worldwide was awarded the IDEAlliance David Jensen Award, the highest honor given by the Association, at the 2013 PRIMEX Conference. The David Jensen Award recognizes those who exhibit extraordinary dedication to and vision for the future of our industry.  Mr. Mikol’s foresight in managing color, capturing assets, and devising global workflow processes has been revolutionary in the global advertising business.

David Q. McDowell, NPES and Chair of USTAG/ISO/TC130 Working Group, was honored at the 2013 PRIMEX Conference with the IDEAlliance Leonard Holzinger Award, which honors those who have given exemplary service to IDEAlliance. Throughout his career, Mr. McDowell has been instrumental in forming and promoting print standards in the United States and around the world.

Chuck Tricamo, Manager, Mail Classification, Pricing Classification Service Center, U.S. Postal Service, is the recipient of the IDEAlliance Donald A. Mumma Award, the highest award of distinction that IDEAlliance presents in the mail preparation and processing arena. Mr. Tricamo was honored at the Annual Print Distribution Conference, recognizing his work attitude, which typifies the cooperative USPS-industry relationship that a Mumma awardee demonstrates.

Recognizing their extraordinary contribution and leadership in advancing the work of IDEAlliance Committees and Working Groups, the following individuals have been recognized with the IDEAlliance Circle Award:

Hye-Jeong Ahn, Editor of Graphic World Magazine and Manager of IDEAlliance Korea, was honored at the 2013 PRIMEX Conference for her exceptional leadership of the IDEAlliance International Affiliate Program in Korea. Ms. Ahn also serves on the IDEAlliance Board.

Recognized at the 2013 Print Distribution Conference, Michele Donahue, Executive Director, Paper Supply Chain at Conde Nast, was honored for her leadership and founding role in the influential, IDEAlliance Paper Transit Damage Working Group. Ruth Stock, Program Manager Information Technology at the USPS, was recognized for her support and leadership of the US Postal Service partnership with the Mail.dat/XML Working Group.
