Press release from the issuing company

NORCROSS, GA Unisource Worldwide, Inc., one of the largest privately held companies in North America and a global provider of comprehensive customer solutions including facility supplies and equipment, will introduce its proprietary Green Gauge™ Sustainable Cleaning Product Purchases reporting tool at the 2013 Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) National Conference and Expo, at the Vancouver Convention Centre, June 4-6 in Vancouver, BC.

Expo attendees are encouraged to visit Unisource in Booth #519 to learn how the company’s unique Green Gauge makes easy work of LEED EB:O&M IEQc3.3 reporting.  Attendees can also learn how maximizing Green Cleaning points earned can improve a building’s certification level, avoiding a potential “brown discount.”   On Wednesday, June 5, at 1 p.m., Andrew Gustyn, Unisource’s Director of Sustainability, North America; and Garrett Gerst, Unisource’s Senior Marketing Manager of Facility Solutions and a LEED Green Associate, will present information from the company’s recently published white paper entitled: A Simplified Path to LEED EB:O&M Success, Maximizing Green Cleaning Points to Move From Brown Discount to Green Premium. The presentation will take place on the Exhibitor Presentation Stage on the show floor.

“The CaGBC Expo is a great opportunity to network with both customers and industry leaders, exchange experiences, and learn best practices,” said Gustyn.  “We will be on hand to share how Unisource’s expertise in Green Cleaning can help CaGBC members in their quest to improve the sustainability of buildings across Canada.  Our ISSA-certified Facility Solutions professionals, located across the country, are prepared to work with facility managers of all types of buildings to implement programs to improve sustainability and maximize LEED points.  Customers across North America have raved about the time savings they’ve realized by using the Green Gauge to track their purchases of sustainable cleaning products for LEED reporting purposes,“ he said.

With an extensive supplier base, national distribution network, logistics expertise, and nationwide sales force, Unisource offers convenient access and reliable and timely delivery of industry-leading cleaning and facility maintenance products.  The company offers a vast array of customer solutions that fulfill customer needs for maintenance supplies, cleaning chemicals and equipment, sanitary papers, packaging materials, and office papers.
