Safety Signs Required at Universities now Easy to Print In-House

Press release from the issuing company

WASHINGTON, UT – Proper placement of safety signs is a crucial part of most universities’ Safety Departments’ role, as they are required to comply with tight regulations and stay in accordance with safety guidelines. Fusion Digital Paper™ introduces Fusion Woven Fabric Repositionable as a cost-effective and convenient solution for printing a variety of safety, emergency and regulatory warning signs.

Robert Donahue, director of purchasing at Franklin University, saw the potential for a 30 percent savings if they printed some materials in-house. He implemented a plan that ended up saving that university approximately $90,000, according to InPlantGraphics.com. Because the Fusion Woven Fabric Repositionable can run on most high heat toner digital printers, while delivering high quality finished pieces, it can usually be handled by in-house equipment which should translate into savings for that school.

One of the challenges of safety signage projects is that signs often need to be moved between locations. Fusion Woven Fabric Repositionable can be repeatedly relocated, while keeping its shape. The product doesn’t stretch like most vinyl wall graphics do, and can be repositioned multiple times on painted walls, wood cabinets, metal and glass. For that reason, it is also a versatile solution for many other types of signage that’s used by universities, such as posters for plays, sporting events, open houses, speakers and school announcements.

In fact, Fusion Digital Paper™ is an industry leader in encouraging inventiveness, and Al Grant, Director of Sales, Marketing and Distribution for Fusion Digital Paper™ says, “We applaud when people unleash their creativity, and we feel a university is the most fitting environment for that. Our products support creative thinking with practical solutions.”

The versatility of the product makes that possible, as it can be safely applied to clean, dry surfaces, from glass and metal to painted walls and wood cabinets. Some popular safety indoor applications are: alerting to areas that require extra caution; pointing to elevators; signaling restrooms; biohazard zones cautioning, no smoking areas advisement, labeling rooms and spaces, and identifying functional areas.

Also available with a split back liner for easy application, Fusion Woven Fabric Repositionable is also waterproof, tear and UV resistant, so it may be safely used outside as well. Common outdoor uses are: identifying parking spaces; pointing out passenger loading zones; marking entrances and exits; identifying rescue assistance areas; and providing directions.

“Schools can become safety sign compliant very easily, no matter the quantity of signs required. Fusion Woven Fabric Repositionable allows them to quickly and inexpensively adapt to regulations by creating signage that is of high quality and is long lasting,” concluded Grant.
