Press release from the issuing company

NEW YORK--Oct. 29, 2003-- NewspaperDirect (www.newspaperdirect.com), a technology company specializing in the global delivery and local printing of same-day editions of newspapers from around the world, has expanded its domestic service on the West Coast through an exclusive deal with Mader News Inc., the newspaper and magazine distribution leader for Southern California. Mader News Inc. launched the service in Los Angeles and subsequently in San Diego, Santa Barbara and Palm Springs. With this agreement in place, residents and visitors to Southern California will have access to same-day, print editions of NewspaperDirect's catalog of more than 180 newspaper titles, at select retail outlets, for home and office delivery, and in their hotel room. NewspaperDirect's titles, ranging from The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, The Yomiuri Shimbun (Japan), Le Monde (France), Folha De S.Paulo (Brazil), and Sydney Morning Herald are delivered outside their original markets and laser-printed in an 11"x17" (A3) format. All of NewspaperDirect offerings are exact reproductions of the locally printed editions, delivered in a more portable format. In addition to the expansion into Southern California, NewspaperDirect's service is available in major markets around the world including Hong Kong, Athens, Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Hamburg, and Moscow. "By partnering with Mader News, the preeminent newspaper and magazine distributor in Southern California, we are positioned to meet the diverse needs of the marketplace," said NewspaperDirect Vice President of Sales & Marketing Richard K. Miller. "Southern California is a multi-cultural melting pot," added Richard Mader of Mader News Inc., "the broad range of titles available from NewspaperDirect will serve us well."
