Green Bay Packaging Vice President to Receive Prestigious Safety Award

Robert E. Schroeder, Vice President and General Manager at Green Bay Packaging Inc. in Fort Worth, was selected as the 2012 Executive Eagle Award winner. The Pulp & Paper Safety Association selected Mr. Schroeder for his commitment to safety throughout his career. Mr. Schroeder started his career with Willamette Industries before joining Green Bay Packaging in 1999. He has held positions in sales and sales management prior to his current role as Vice President and General Manager. 

“This award recognizes the team at Green Bay Packaging’s efforts to focus on the right priorities and their true concern for the well- being of each other. I am honored to receive this award as a result of their work.”

The Executive Eagle Award is the association’s most prestigious award and is presented annually to an outstanding executive in the paper industry who has made major contributions to the cause of accident prevention in his or her own company and beyond. 

“We were pleased to be able to honor Mr. Schroeder with this award and look forward to presenting it to him at the 2013 conference,” said Chris Redfearn, PPSA Board of Director Chairman.

Mr. Schroeder will receive this award at the Association’s Annual Awards Banquet which is being held the evening of June 12th.

The Awards Banquet is part of PPSA’s annual Safety and Health Conference.
