Manhattan's Fitch Group Stays Ahead of the Curve with Latest Digital Press Technology

Press release from the issuing company

New York, NY - Fitch Group, one of New York?s longest-running printers, is also one of the first in the metropolitan area to utilize the innovative Xerox® Color 1000 Press, a breakthrough technology that provides high-definition image quality, blurring the line between digital and offset.

John Fitch III, President of Fitch Group, commented on the machine?s capabilities. ?The XC-1000 is a remarkable advancement that allows us to essentially offer offset quality for the price of digital,? Fitch said. ?Its optional software and hardware is set up to automatically calibrate uniformity of the CMYK values from job to job, and from one XC-1000 to the other, which our clients love. And the clear dry ink layering tool gives the appearance of gloss coating, while allowing us to achieve controllable depth and texture on a project. The best way I can describe it is that it really brings an extra ?oomph? to a printing job that you just can?t get with anything else. Our clients have been dazzled, to say the least.?

The Xerox® Color 1000 was introduced by Xerox® in 2010 and is still widely considered the finest digital press on the market today. A highly advanced digital color printing press, the XC-1000 delivers sharp, rich, digitally mastered image quality. The clear dry ink station adds impact to documents, as Fitch described, running at rated speeds to deliver one of the widest ranges of media handling. Consequently, printers can drive more jobs through their shops, while reducing costs.

Fitch Group added the XC-1000 to its midtown Manhattan facility in mid-2010 – and it?s quickly become one of the firm?s most widely utilized machines. John Fitch III explained why he jumped at the opportunity to add the XC-1000 to the firm?s arsenal of technology. ?When we were first introduced to the machine and saw what it could produce, we immediately recognized the value this could bring our clients,? Fitch commented. ?Fitch Group has always been near the forefront when it comes to recognizing and obtaining new technology and services that allow us to provide expanded capabilities for our clients, so we were proud to be one of the first to offer the XC-1000. It?s a real game-changer for us. Many in-house departments would prefer to forego the cost of this advanced piece of equipment, but still want to avail themselves of the consistent quality we can offer in our products. That?s why they come to us.?
