OKI Data Americas Announces Collaboration with Mountaincow

Monday, May 20, 2013

Press release from the issuing company

Mount Laurel, NJ -  OKI Data Americas announces that Mountaincow – an industry-leading supplier of professional invitation software, specialty printers, printer-compatible stationery and website services for specialty retailers – has begun distributing two of OKI’s innovative digital color printers. Through this collaboration, Mountaincow now offers the ground-breaking C711WT with white toner, and the award-winning C610 Series for sale along with Mountaincow’s software and stationery. As a result, invitation retailers, home studios and invitation designers can now offer affordable in-house printing services for printing white text and motifs onto dark media, and color onto white or light media.

The C711WT is a desktop A4 digital color printer featuring white toner. The C711WT replaces the black toner cartridge and image drum with a white toner cartridge and image drum, resulting in a CMYW four-color configuration. The C711WT delivers sharp, white output and expands companies’ in-house printing capabilities with the production of high-quality, cost-effective white output.

The award-winning C610 Series of digital color printers is designed for medium and large workgroups and features HD color printing technology. The C610 Series from OKI® allows users to produce high-quality color invitations and envelopes in-house, thereby reducing turn-around time and the costs associated with outsourcing. This series has been well-received in the marketplace and has earned notable accolades from some of the industry’s premier publications and analyst groups.

"The C711WT and the C610 Series of digital color printers from OKI Data Americas provide innovative and cost-effective printing solutions to meet the needs of invitation designers and retailers, and for home studios,” said Carl Taylor, Director of North America Marketing for OKI Data Americas. “The high-quality color output of these devices coupled with the addition of dedicated white toner in the C711WT allows users to print creative designs quickly, efficiently and affordably, and with few limitations.”

According to Josh Eisen, President of Mountaincow, “Printing white text and designs onto dark paper has always been considered the holy grail of in-store printing. Our new PrintingPress Pro Extreme 7.0 software includes custom design tools to enable designers to easily preview, proof and print in white onto dark papers using the C711WT digital color printer from OKI Data Americas. The ability to address dark or black envelopes with striking white text brings a unique new set of design options to our current and prospective customers.”

“OKI Data is pleased to introduce the C711WT and the C610 Series to invitation professionals through our collaboration with Mountaincow," continued Taylor. "OKI Data has a rich history of printing innovation, and with the introduction of white printing to this market segment, we are confident that the C711WT in particular will be especially well-received.”

OKI Data Americas (booth # 2663) and Mountaincow (booth #2662) will be participating in the National Stationery Show, taking place May 19-22, 2013 at the Javits Center in New York, NY, where both companies will demonstrate the capabilities of the OKI digital color printers in conjunction with Mountaincow’s professional invitation software and stationery.

All OKI products are built on parent company OKI Data Corporation's history of leadership and innovation. Most of OKI's color printing solutions feature Single Pass Color™ as well as proprietary digital LED and HD Color technologies. These technologies allow OKI Data Americas to manufacture products that require fewer moving parts for increased reliability and outstanding color output quality.
