Standard Register Honored With BBB Torch Award

Press release from the issuing company

DAYTON, Ohio - The Dayton and Miami Valley Better Business Bureau (BBB) honored Standard Register with the 2013 Torch Award at the annual Eclipse Integrity Awards dinner last night.

The Torch Award is dedicated to the legacy of Miami Valley business pioneers and their contributions to the growth and quality of life in Dayton and the surrounding communities. The award recognized ingenuity, leadership, generosity and mentorship characteristics. Standard Register, celebrating its 100th anniversary, was selected based on the company's firm belief that reputation is the cornerstone for long-term growth and its heritage of financial and hands-on support to make a positive impact on the Miami Valley.

"Characteristics and values, such as innovation, excellence and philanthropy, are ingrained in the Standard Register culture," said John North, BBB president and chief executive officer. "It's a company other organizations use as a benchmark as they strive to be the very best they can be. BBB is pleased to recognize Standard Register for its efforts to make the Miami Valley a great place to live, work and play."

"This award provides well-deserved recognition for the tremendous contributions made by Standard Register employees," said Joseph P. Morgan, Jr., president and chief executive officer of Standard Register. "Our employees in Dayton and across the U.S. tirelessly and cheerfully support their communities through volunteerism and charitable contributions, and actively participate in the company's initiatives to support community programs, mentor students, and help those in need."
