ONYX Graphics Workflow Software Compatible with Metallic Ink Swatch Book

Press release from the issuing company

ReferenceGuide – Metallic Edition by Color Concepts Europe aids in integrating metallic inks into designs

SALT LAKE CITY – ONYX Graphics, Inc., today announced that its software packages are compatible with a recently released metallic ink swatch book. The ReferenceGuide - Metallic Edition was developed by Color Concepts Europe and is currently compatible only with ONYX® ThriveTM print workflow software; and ONYX ProductionHouseTM, ONYX PosterShop® and ONYX RIPCenterTM RIP software.

Color Concepts Europe promotes its ReferenceGuide as a complete solution that makes it easy for advertising/design agencies, brand owners and print companies to integrate metallic inks into their designs. The reference guide enables printing of CMYK and metallic colors in a consistent manner on different media. It consists of a swatch book with 100 metallic colors assembled in consultation with various styling experts and advertising/design agencies.

Using the ReferenceGuide, designers can choose a color from the swatch book and then select the correct color profile in the ONYX Color Library. With these certified profiles, users can easily and accurately fill objects, layers or masks in the file, in order to reproduce metallic colors for numerous substrates.

The ReferenceGuide – Metallic Edition box consists of three parts:

1) Three printed swatches produced on an Epson® SureColor® SC-S70600 10-color printer.

2) A number of color libraries available for Adobe® Photoshop®, InDesign® and Illustrator® software; and QuarkXPress® and CorelDraw® software.

3) Specially-developed metallic color profiles for use with ONYX software packages.
