Goss International will take center stage at China Print 2013 as regional web offset leader

Press release from the issuing company

Goss International will emphasize advantages and opportunities that its simple, easy-to-use and cost-effective technology and world-class aftermarket services can create for commercial, book, newspaper and packaging printers in Asia and throughout the world at the China Print 2013 show May 14-18 in Beijing.

Exhibiting under the theme ‘See Things Differently’, Goss International will demonstrate the latest advances in automation, formats, configurations and supporting technologies and how these can provide the power to produce more impactful, immediate and cost-effective printed products with lower waste, lower costs and less environmental impact. The company will introduce a new press model, present an update on its expansion into the packaging sector, and highlight its strong regional resources and longstanding leadership in supporting customers in China and Asia.

The new Goss Magnum Compact press model featured at China Print represents an innovative and highly cost-effective approach to traditional single-width newspaper and semi-commercial production and is also designed to drive new short-run, multi-product business models. The press combines proven technologies and new features to enable extremely fast changeovers, maximum versatility and simplified operation. A four-high Magnum Compact tower will be displayed at the show, and its Autoplate fully automatic plate changing capability will be demonstrated.

With its Sunday Vpak packaging press technology now in production in North America, Goss International will highlight how this new variable repeat web offset press option delivers superior-quality print results for folding carton, flexible packaging, pre-print and label printing. Based on Goss’ decades of printing expertise, Sunday Vpak presses address the emerging demands in the packaging sector for faster turnaround times, higher print quality and lower costs. They feature quick-change blankets and printing cylinder sleeves and are available in web widths from 520 to 1905 mm.

Commercial printers attending China Print 2013 will get updates on Goss presses ranging from 16-page M-500 and M-600 models to wider-web Sunday presses that cover the gamut of production requirements. The M-800 model, recently installed in Beijing with a 4x4 configuration will also be featured.

Along with the new Magnum Compact model, Goss International will highlight a full portfolio of single- and double-width newspaper presses at China Print. That lineup includes the Community SSC/Magnum series – the overwhelming market leader for single-width production in Asia – as well as Universal and Uniliner presses and the Colorliner CPS and FPS compact double-width press options.

The Goss team will also emphasize its extensive, integrated network of service, support engineering and manufacturing resources strategically located in China and across Asia. Goss International will exhibit as part of the Shanghai Electric Group of companies at China Print with a 1000 m2 booth (W4, 001).
