CHICAGO, March 25 -- Oce, a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, today appointed Joseph R. Marciano the President & CEO of Oce Business Services, Inc. and Patrick Chapuis the President of the Wide Format Printing Systems division of Oce North America, Inc. Mr. Marciano has been Interim President of Oce Business Services since last July, and Mr. Chapuis has been Vice President of the Wide Format Printing Systems division of Oce France S.A. since November 2002. Both appointments are effective immediately. "We have conducted worldwide searches to find the best leaders to take each of these businesses to the next level in their development," said Ronald E. Daly, Chairman and CEO of Oce North America in making the announcement. "It is gratifying that we were able to find the top leaders within the Oce organization." Mr. Daly continued, "While we were searching, Joe Marciano made a number of significant contributions as the Interim President of Oce Business Services, making him the obvious choice to lead this company full time. Joe helped OBS gain significant new business from major clients, shepherded the company successfully through its re-branding from Archer Management Services, attracted a large amount of technical talent from the Oce organization and elsewhere to bolster OBS' capabilities in document management solutions, and initiated a large investment in management training and development for the OBS organization. These achievements have made OBS a more effective provider of productive document management solutions for our customers." "Patrick Chapuis has been running the Wide Format business of Oce France and is a rising star in the Oce group. His tenure in Paris has been distinguished by the addition of a number of significant new accounts. We are pleased to move Patrick into this larger assignment," commented Mr. Daly. Mr. Chapuis takes over the Oce Wide Format Printing Systems division from S. Joyce Virnich, Interim President of the division. Ms. Virnich returns to her position as Vice President, Marketing for WFPS. Mr. Chapuis has spent his entire career in the document management business in France. Prior to joining Oce in 1998, he ran the regional Office Imaging Division for Kodak and the French operating company for Danka Office Imaging. Earlier, he held a number of sales positions for Gestener.
