Kodak Launches New Global Certification Program for FLEXCEL NX System Users

Press release from the issuing company

Users who achieve certified status will display the mark of a trusted partner

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The award-winning KODAK FLEXCEL NX System, launched nearly five years ago, has led a revolution in flexography by bringing a higher standard of efficiency, consistency, and quality to flexo printing. The new certification program is designed to take the success of the FLEXCEL NX System to the next level by assuring printers and brand owners that KODAK FLEXCEL NX Plates produced by certified providers are made to a global standard.

To achieve the certification and earn the right to use the certification mark, companies must demonstrate that the plates they produce, or print with, are consistently made to a standard Kodak global specification, representing a feature set that drives industry-leading efficiency, stability, and quality in print. The certification process is supported by comprehensive data measurement and recommendations from satisfied clients.

“The market has come to know and appreciate the capabilities of the FLEXCEL NX System, and the new program will make it even easier for packaging professionals to know they can expect the best for their next project,” explained Kuty Paperny, Kodak’s Marketing Director, Flexo Packaging Solutions. “A number of customers around the world are already in the process of getting certified. Our users are proud and excited to have this program as a visible way to promote their use of FLEXCEL NX Plate technology.”

With a proven history of helping users “Do More with Less,” the FLEXCEL NX System enables print efficiencies that include faster startup times, reduced waste, longer plate life, and reduction in the number of print stations required per job. Furthermore, the broad tonal range, high contrast, and excellent color reproduction allow prepress service providers and converters to compete for business traditionally beyond the capabilities of flexo.

Owners of the FLEXCEL NX System should visit www.kodak.com/go/flexcelnx to learn more about the new program and apply to become certified, while printers and print buyers should look for the certification mark from their FLEXCEL NX Plate prepress providers.
