Durst Shows Off Tau 330 UV Inkjet Digital Label Press at InfoFlex

Press release from the issuing company

Durst, the world’s leading manufacturer of production-environment digital printing platforms, will be at the Flexography Technical Association InfoFlex ’13 Conference & Trade Show, April 29-30 at the San Diego Convention Center (in Booth 719), to highlight the world’s first UV inkjet digital imager to print on a 13-inch web: the innovative Durst Tau 330 UV Inkjet Digital Label Press.

The Tau 330 is designed for short- and medium-run narrow web applications, covering widths from 6.5 to13.0 inches and running at print speeds up to 157 ft./min., while delivering sharp, precise image reproduction. Production capacity can reach 10,225 square feet per hour.  The capabilities of Durst’s Tau 330 label press translate into remarkable flexibility and productivity for smaller label jobs.  The Tau 330 is also available in an 8-inch-wide version.

In addition, Durst will have details on the world’s first solvent-free silver UV ink – revolutionizing, and even replacing, the use of foil in a broad range of metallic label and decorative packaging applications.  With Durst’s metallic ink, users can lay down – in one pass and at lower cost – a “digital foil” that meets all the demands of metallic label applications.  No one was able to come up with a formula that works – until Durst.
