FLM Graphics Expands Digital Print Operation

Press release from the issuing company

Fairfield, NJ – FLM Graphics has expanded its digital print operations center and added a new Xerox iGen4 digital printing system at its main operations facility here.

“The addition of the iGen4 system and expansion of our digital production and staging facility gives FLM Graphics added productivity and flexibility to meet the increasing volume demand of digital color printing projects," said FLM president Frank M. Misischia in making the announcement today. "We are finding that, as more clients are utilizing interactive program capabilities such as FLM's web-to-print and cross media services, high quality digital printing is becoming a more prominent and recurrent element in their graphic communication plans and strategies."

FLM operates digital print production departments in its main operation in Fairfield, as well as at its Princeton, New Jersey, facility. The addition of the Xerox iGen4 system reinforces FLM's long-term business strategy to provide customers with flexible, cost-productive options for any media communications project, whether the delivery medium is offset printing, digital printing, interactive web, mobile, or all of the above. Plus, it extends the speed, stock, color, and finishing options of FLM's existing digital printing capabilities—which include systems by Kodak, Canon, Oce, Ricoh, and HP—to produce any digital print project on a system that's optimally suited to the client's job specs, schedule, and budget.

Mr. Misischia added that the expanded digital printing service center also incorporates enhancements in the workflow layout to improve process efficiencies, not only within the department but also in how the digital print center interfaces with other areas, such as FLM's offset printing, digital large format, finishing, fulfillment, and IT/data management departments. "Improved workflow and data management efficiencies are critically important," he explained, "especially for clients who increasingly are taking advantage of our web enabled and online program management services to specify multiple media, materials, and formats as part of the same or a related project."
