Unisource Canada announces NUAR Awards

March 23, 2004 -- Unisource Canada is pleased to introduce the National Unisource Annual Report Show (NUARs) awards. This event is the first of a new annual competition recognizing excellence in the design and print community for the production of annual reports and corporate brochures across Canada. We encourage you to submit your best annual reports and corporate brochures produced on paper purchased in whole or in majority from Unisource Canada, Inc., between May 1, 2003 and June 1, 2004. The judges will independently review your entries in June of 2004. Annual reports and corporate brochures will be judged separately, based on design excellence, communications strategy, quality of printing, appropriateness of paper, use of photography or illustration, and typography. The judges will decide the number of winners in each category. Winning entries will be featured in a winners’ catalogue, on and be part of a traveling exhibit showcased in ten cities across the country. Our panel of judges will be comprised of four well-established and dynamic individuals from the design community across the country. Participating will be: Sean Carter, Partner/Designer Hangar 18 Creative Group Inc., Vancouver Louis Gagnon, Vice President and Creative Director Paprika Communications Design, Montreal Michelle Viau, President and CEO Ove Design & Communications Ltd., Toronto Harry Yeung, Creative Director The Design Centre, Calgary Again, we invite and encourage you and your studio to participate in our first wholly Canadian NUARs annual award competition. The NUARs is the only awards program of its kind in all of Canada, initiated and exclusively sponsored by Unisource Canada Inc.
