North Plains Announces Expansion of Xinet Product Line

Press release from the issuing company

Xinet Digital and Xinet Central Improve Collaboration and Management of Rich Media Assets Across Global Creative Teams

Toronto, Canada – North Plains, the leader in helping companies leverage their visual media assets, today announces Xinet® Digital and Xinet Central, two new products that advances the evolution of Xinet into a product line and further solidifies Xinet as the leading production tool for creatives. Xinet Digital, a web-based tool, lets digital agencies easily set up branded client portals to manage and evolve digital campaign assets. Xinet Central aggregates rich media assets from satellite repositories to provide centralized access across the enterprise. These two product introductions are being made on the one-year anniversary of the acquisition of Xinet by North Plains.

Xinet Digital provides a cloud-based platform for digital agencies to manage the distribution of their creative work across multiple clients. This is offered as an alternative for distribution methods like FTP and static web sites, which lack fine-grained control over who can access which assets and do not provide a curated visual environment that reflects the customer’s brand. Xinet Digital enables easy set up and deployment of branded portal sites where clients can access and interact with agency deliverables on a 24/7 basis, enhancing client communications and further cementing creative partnerships.

Xinet Central is designed for global agencies and content-producing enterprises that want to link together the assets being produced by separate creative teams.  Utilizing North Plains’ new ConnectR technology, Xinet Central ties satellite Xinet servers into an enterprise-scale DAM system, increasing visibility for work performed and providing controlled access to individual creative teams’ work from a central repository.

“The acquisition of Xinet a year ago was integral to North Plains providing a portfolio of best-of-breed solutions to help our customers successfully leverage their visual assets,” said Kevin Tureski, VP Product Development at North Plains. “Xinet is central to the workflow of thousands of creative teams across the industry, and these new additions will expand client communication opportunities for agencies while introducing the ability to centrally manage assets for maximum utility.”

Key to these new products is the leveraging of the previously announced ConnectR functionality, which streamlines the transfer of assets and related metadata between North Plains products and facilitates repurposing of assets for increased business value.  The ConnectR interoperability technology enhances asset value by enabling the intact transfer of assets to new locations as needed, while adhering to user permissions and digital rights controls in effect.
