New heatset drying developments as well as retrofit opportunities were the hot topics, as Goss International presented a technology breakfast seminar in Mexico City on February 26.

Twenty-eight participants from graphic arts companies in Mexico took part in the event, expressing particular interest in technology to reduce gas consumption and in enhancements to maximize the performance of their existing web press systems.

Rutger Jansen, from the Goss International Contiweb operation in The Netherlands, presented an update on the portfolio of Goss heatset dryers and auxiliary products manufactured there, including the latest-generation Ecoset dryers. He also covered retrofit and enhancement options and the GossProactive Remote Service (PaRS) program. Jansen then led an interactive roundtable discussion, along with Goss sales manager Leonardo Clavijo, Goss commercial web representative for Mexico Mauricio Guerra and Goss dryer specialist Richard Weick.

Goss International will hold similar technology seminars at other locations in North and South America later this year.
