Aflac Names Pitney Bowes Outstanding Partner of the Year for Innovation and Technology

Press release from the issuing company

STAMFORD, Conn. – Pitney Bowes Inc. was recently named a 2012 Outstanding Partner of the Year for Innovation and Technology by Aflac, the number one provider of guaranteed-renewable insurance in the U.S.  Aflac’s annual Outstanding Partner of the Year Awards recognize companies that help Aflac deliver exceptional service to its customers.  Pitney Bowes won for the Innovation and Technology category.

In order to meet Aflac’s objectives of creating more personal and relevant supplemental insurance communications for its clients, Pitney Bowes replaced Aflac’s existing toner-based monochrome printing devices with its IntelliJet® 20 Printing System. This enabled the insurance provider to produce monthly statements in full color using 100% variable-data. To further improve operational performance, Aflac assembles every mailpiece faster, more accurately and more cost-effectively with fewer resources by utilizing the Pitney Bowes Mailstream Evolution™ Inserting System.  Pitney Bowes is also providing comprehensive print and mail customer service to help Alfac achieve their operational goals.

“We are honored to receive this award from Aflac,” said Christoph Stehmann, president, Document Messaging Technologies, Pitney Bowes. “Aflac is helping to lead the way in using highly personalized relevant communications to help build stronger client relationships by migrating to a high-quality, full-color, 100 percent variable data production print environment.”

“We would like to congratulate Pitney Bowes as an Aflac 2012 Partner of the Year award winner for Innovation and Technology,” said Kevin McCarty, Aflac’s senior manager of Support Services.  “The solutions, technology and service that Pitney Bowes is providing to Aflac help us increase the quality of our communications for clients and operational performance.”

The award was announced at an event hosted by Aflac in Columbus, Georgia.
