John Green Inducted into PGAMA Printing Industry Hall of Fame

COLUMBIA, MD - The Printing & Graphics Association MidAtlantic (PGAMA) is pleased to announce that John Green, former president of Automated Graphic Systems (AGS) in White Plains, MD, is the 2013 inductee into the PGAMA Printing Industry Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place during the PGAMA Excellence in Print Awards Gala on March 21, 2013 at Martin’s Crosswinds in Greenbelt, MD.

PGAMA is a non-profit trade association serving graphic arts firms in Maryland, Southern Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. The PGAMA Industry Hall of Fame Award honors the accomplishments of outstanding individuals who have directly contributed to the success of a PGAMA member firm by managing and sustaining a competitive edge through implementation of proven global best practices resulting in organizational and regional economic growth.

Mr. Green was nominated for his role in transforming an unprofitable printing business into a thriving enterprise within a six-month period. Mr. Green led the company for 25 years. His other industry contributions include:

  • Chairman of the Board, Printing Industries of America (2003-2004)
  • Chairman, Printing Industries' Finance Committee (1994-2005)
  • Chairman of the Board, Printing Industries of Maryland (1994-1996)

In addition, John has also been actively involved with the PGAMA Education, Workforce Development, and Finance Committees.
