C.P. Bourg Named Xerox 2012 Overall Business Innovation Partner of the Year

Press release from the issuing company

New Bedford, MA -- C.P. Bourg, the world's leading developer and supplier of on-demand document binding and finishing equipment, today announced it received top honors at this year's Xerox Corporation Business Innovation Partner awards as Overall Business Innovation Partner of the Year for 2012.

The Xerox Business Innovation Partner awards recognize the efforts of leading companies that help Xerox and its customers capture new opportunities and achieve business success. The highest honor of Overall Business Innovation Partner is awarded to the top firm chosen from all Xerox office and production software and hardware partners and spans four strategic business categories: Hardware, Office Software, Production Software and Customer First/Service Support.

In presenting its highest award, Xerox said of C.P. Bourg, "This multinational company continued to provide, improve and grow their outstanding portfolio of Reseller and OEM Products that include in-line and offline finishing solutions. Not only did this company provide excellent pre- and post-sales support, they also increased their global sales presence. The breadth of their product portfolio supports all of Xerox' production and light production printers. The ability of this company to seamlessly complement Xerox solutions also helped facilitate Xerox's expansion into an ever growing global market."

"Being recognized by Xerox as its Overall Business Innovation Partner is particularly gratifying," noted Richard F. Trapilo, Executive Vice President and General Manager, C.P. Bourg Inc. "The award is especially meaningful, as it reflects the efforts and achievements of C.P. Bourg employees on both sides of the Atlantic and in every aspect of their endeavors for a job well done.

"All of us at C.P. Bourg couldn't be more delighted and honored again to receive this highest award from our close friends and respected business partners at Xerox," Mr. Trapilo added.

C.P. Bourg took the top honor for the eighth time. The global binding and finishing innovator has received numerous awards from Xerox, including Overall Finishing Business Partner for 2004-2010, Monochrome Finishing Partner for 2008, and iGen(TM) Finishing Partner for 2005, 2006 and 2009.

The company has participated with Xerox as a strategic business partner since its development of the world's first in-line signature booklet maker in 1989, the Bourg SBM-1 designed for the Xerox DocuTech(R).

"Our development and 2012 introduction of the dual-mode Bourg BSFEx Sheet Feeder and its starring role in the Xerox IntegratedPLUS Finishing Solution for Booklets also launched at DRUPA 2012 in Dusseldorf last May is a key factor in winning the award," explained James Tressler, C.P. Bourg Inc. Director of Marketing and Branch Operations.

"Just as the Bourg SBM-1 was a game-changer for print production in 1989, the Bourg BSFEx is rewriting the rules of digital production today, blurring the distinctions between in-line and off-line workflow efficiencies by integrating and automating both."
