Dr. Joe Webb Keynote Speaker at PRIMIR 2013 Spring Meeting

Press release from the issuing company

Reston, VA - PRIMIR, the Print Industries Market Information and Research Organization, announced that Industry guru Dr. Joseph Webb, Director of WhatTheyThink.com's Economics and Research Center will keynote the PRIMIR 2013 Spring Meeting with his presentation titled, "The Rise of Business Development: Creating—Rather than Getting Business." The PRIMIR Spring Meeting will be held April 8-10, 2013 at The Shores Hotel in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Dr. Joe's presentation will explore a variety of business development topics addressed in his newest book, currently underway. According to Dr. Joe, "The role of print is no longer obvious, and the opportunities for print in integrated programs that solve business problems requires different tools and different diligence. What are the changes underway, and what do they mean for the structure and operation of print-focused enterprises?" PRIMIR attendees will learn all about it in Daytona Beach.

Meeting participants will additionally gain new perspectives from industry veteran, Sammy Papert, President of Wormhole, who in his session will challenge them to "Think Differently—Break Out of Your Box."

PRIMIR meeting attendees will also learn first-hand about successful business development practices from John Henry Ruggieri, Director of Operations, and Brad Taylor, Director of Business Development, at Sundance Marketing Solutions of Orlando. These industry executives will share their experiences in "Beating the Odds: Finding New Opportunities in the Printing Industry."

Daytona Beach was specifically selected as the site for the PRIMIR Spring Meeting to enable attendees to tour the 11-acre campus of DME—a firm featured in case studies that were included as part of several recent PRIMIR reports. As noted in one recent PRIMIR study, "DME experiences solid growth at a time when recovery is still on the minds of most businesses."

A key feature of all PRIMIR meetings are the presentations of findings from recently completed PRIMIR research. In Daytona Beach, Tom Ashley Director and Founder of Pivotal Resources USA will share new PRIMIR study findings on, "Emerging Printing Technologies & Applications," to be followed by a PRIMIR Member Exchange on the same topic. Complementing Tom's presentation, Doug Schardt, Product Manager with Komori will discuss the company's newest printed electronics in a session titled, "Komori: Technology for the Future."

Finally, self-professed "Standards Guy and Frequent Flyer" Larry Warter of Warter Colors will explore "Industry Standards: Why You Should Be Engaged."
