F. Edward Treis to receive 2004 Harry V. Quadracci Award

Press release from the issuing company

Alexandria, Va., March 18, 2004 — The Web Offset Association (WOA) is pleased to announce that the recipient for the 2004 Harry V. Quadracci Award is F. Edward Treis, chairman of Arandell Corporation. Mr. Treis joined the former R & L Printing Co., a Wauwatosa, WI sheetfed commercial printer, in 1944. He acquired the company in 1949, changing its name to Arandell, the one-word phonetic pronunciation of the company’s name. Under his leadership, Arandell has grown into one of the nation’s largest producers of high-quality direct-mail catalogs. Long a forerunner in research and development to improve printing processes, Mr. Treis also has a reputation for developing strong relationships with his vendors, based on his philosophy that quality printing requires quality suppliers and equipment. Each year, the Harry V. Quadracci VISION Award award recognizes a printing industry leader who has gone beyond the norm to become a dominant force in shaping the business of offset printing. Mr. Treis is the sixth recipient of the award, which was first bestowed in 1999. He will formally receive the award at a luncheon in his honor on April 19, during the annual WOA Conference.
