Press release from the issuing company

Mount Laurel, NJ – OKI Data Americas announces its participation in the 2013 HIMSS Annual Conference and Exhibition, taking place March 3-7 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA. In collaboration with Futura Mobility, a leading provider of end-to-end mobile technology solutions, OKI Data will demonstrate a selection of its label printing solutions designed specifically for the healthcare industry in booth 2457. A comprehensive array of cost-effective solutions for printing admission barcode labels and hospital wristbands, mobile print technology, and a selection of OKI Data’s portable thermal transfer and direct thermal label printers will be exhibited.

Together, OKI Data and Futura Mobility provide hospitals, pharmacies and laboratories with mobile print technologies through mobile carts or workstations on wheels outfitted with ancillary devices like bar code scanners and OKI Data’s label printers, as well as network devices including smartphones, laptops or tablets, can be used by both clinicians and patients. With OKI Data’s MotionPrint technology, mobile print applications and award-winning printers and multifunction devices, healthcare professionals are able to “plug and print” in a secure and efficient manner, reducing patient cycle time and improving workflow procedures for point-of-care printing of patient care plans and discharge forms.

In addition to its customized mobile print solutions, OKI Data offers on-demand barcode label printers using DataRay technology to provide a specialized patient identification solution for the healthcare industry. The solution is designed to quickly interface with any hospital information system for the purpose of generating barcoded patient identification wristbands and labels. Without the complexity or unreliability of a central server, the Thermal Printer Stations effectively meet the Stage II MU Barcoding requirements of electronic health records. Whether mobile or positioned at the workstation, OKI Data’s label printers allow healthcare professionals to quickly, easily and automatically print important patient labels for charts, document folders and wristbands, helping healthcare facilities increase productivity and enhance workplace efficiency.

As part of its award-winning, broad portfolio of products and solutions, OKI Data offers a complete line of label and office printers ranging from portable to the most compact desktop label printers to enterprise label printers, mono and color printers and multifunction printers, providing unmatched functionality and throughput for optimal performance.
