Avery Dennison Reflective Solutions Launches TrafficJet Digital Printing System

Press release from the issuing company

Mentor, Ohio – Avery Dennison Reflective Solutions announced the launch of TrafficJet™, a complete digital printing system for the traffic safety and reflective sign producers as well as the municipalities who purchase signage. Avery Dennison is a true digital system provider, offering a complete, cost-effective, highly flexible digital printing solution with equipment, ink and reflective sheeting for work zone signage.

The Avery Dennison TrafficJet Digital Printing System comes with a choice of two printers, the eight-color TrafficJet 1638 and the four-color TrafficJet 1324. Eight specially formulated ecosolvent inks for the traffic sign industry are available in the system, providing reflective signmakers and government officials the opportunity to digitally print short runs of signs on a just-in-time basis on high-quality Avery Dennison prismatic sheeting, including W-11514 OmniCube™ fluorescent orange and W-6500 and W-7500 series films in orange, fluorescent orange, fluorescent yellow and fluorescent yellow green.

“Avery Dennison is the only sheeting manufacturer that is offering a complete, branded digital printing system for work zone and reflective signage,” said Scott Seeley, Global Marketing Director of Avery Dennison Reflective Solutions. “Avery Dennison is the single point of contact for each component of TrafficJet. We are focused on offering competitive, flexible solutions that exceed the needs of traffic and work zone sign fabricators.”

Benefits of the TrafficJet Digital Printing System include:

  • No overlay is needed for work zone or unregulated signs. Signs printed with the system are warranted for 3 year durability without an overlay.
  • Ecosolvent ink is more durable and cost-effective.
  • Specially formulated spot colors meet traffic signage requirements for color and durability.
  • Cost-effective for variable or short-run signs.

“TrafficJet provides the ideal opportunity for municipalities and small sign shops to make the change to digital imaging for construction work zone signage in a cost efficient manner,” added Seeley.

TrafficJet is fully compatible with the Avery Dennison ReadyPro Signmaking System, which includes pre-designed FHWA and many state DOT sign library files, a Graphtec cutter that cuts Avery Dennison prismatic sheeting quickly and user-friendly SignCAD®/SignCAM® state-of-the-art software.

TrafficJet demonstrations will be available in the Avery Dennison Booth 1013 at ATSSA Traffic Expo, February 24 – 26, in San Diego, California.
