Dani Herzka, General Manager of DotworksMedia, reveals what drove his team to secure the best paper and distribution combination for the HP Indigo user base in North America. 

The Mondi / DotworksMedia team are at Dscoop8 exhibit #834 this week, to show the two popular Mondi paper lines for HP Indigo; and introduce Indigo owners and operators to some of the company representatives that can - and will - fulfill orders and meet service obligations. They'll do this by utilizing extensive personnel resources and several warehouses across the country.

"I've been around Indigo owners a long time, and the pattern repeats itself, everywhere I go," Herzka says. "Indigo sites need the best uncoated paper at an affordable price, with the best service - and not necessarily in that order.

"The fact is, they are not always getting it."

These mandatory factors -- best paper, price, and service - led Herzka first to Mondi uncoated Paper; a well-known and respected, full service paper company throughout the rest of the world. Mondi posseses highest ratings for runnability, adhesion, and literally all other criteria HP determines as necessary for its partners.

Herzka brought Mondi in to meet with the founder of Recognition Systems, Inc. (RSI), the forty-year old distribution company that launched a digital distribution arm, DotworksMedia, in 2011.  The organizations clicked.

"There's Lennon-McCartney, there's Jolie-Pitt, and now there's Mondi and DotworksMedia," Herzka laughs.

"The fact is that we're not trying to retrofit an old delivery model with the fast turnaround needs of the on-demand digital market," Herzka says, with all seriousness. "We're bringing digital paper to digital printers, with a new standard for speed and service."

"Let's be real," says Herzka. "Getting your premium uncoated paper on the press, when you need it there, is paramount. Our role was to make it happen, with the best uncoated paper, people, and distribution we could find."
