callas software and Notarius form technology partnership

Press release from the issuing company

Berlin and Montreal – The Canadian company Notarius is integrating callas pdfaPilot into ConsignO, its solution for digitally signing PDF documents. The callas software technology, already used in Adobe Acrobat XI, will enable users to thoroughly validate PDF/A compliance of documents, a valued benefit for Notarius’ 10,000 customers.

14 Canadian professional associations and 10,000 professionals trust Notarius’ digital signature solution. The majority of these customers need to generate documents that can be read and the signature verified in 10, 20 or even 30 years. Whether it is an engineer’s drawing of a bridge or of an electric grid, the best option to meet this stringent requirement is to archive the documents in PDF/A format.

"Our digital signature solution supports PDF/A conversion and validation, but needs to be brought up to the latest PDF/A standard," says Claude Charpentier, CEO of Notarius. "Integrating pdfaPilot allows us to close this gap, and partnering with an industry leader like callas software ensures our customers the best of breed for years to come." In addition to selecting the same top-quality technology used in Adobe Acrobat, Notarius chose callas’ pdfaPilot because of its ease of integration and highly competent support.

"Unlike in Germany, PDF/A is just starting to gain ground in Canada, and Notarius’ solution is paving the way," says Dietrich von Seggern, Business Development Manager at callas software. "We are very pleased that the company chose our solution."
