PRIMIR 2013 Spring Meeting to Focus on Finding New Business

Press release from the issuing company

Reston, VA - PRIMIR, the Print Industries Market Information and Research Organization, announced its Spring Meeting will be held April 8-10, 2013 at The Shores Hotel in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The Spring Meeting sessions will be data-rich and full of actionable solutions to help attendees investigate and exploit new business opportunities at a time when the market is challenging conventional business practices.

Sessions will be conducted in a dynamic forum with industry managers and experts from across the graphic communications industry. PRIMIR's 2013 Spring Meeting will focus on opportunities in emerging printing technologies, business development techniques, and strategic thinking. Several sessions will also highlight print firm success stories.

Daytona Beach was selected as the site of the Spring Meeting principally so that PRIMIR attendees can tour the 11-acre campus of DME—a firm featured in case studies in several recent PRIMIR reports. DME is one of the top direct marketing services companies in the U.S. today, primarily due to its unique culture, innovative thinking and well-executed approach to the marketplace. As noted in one recent PRIMIR study, "DME experiences solid growth at a time when recovery is still on the minds of most businesses."

In keeping with the success story theme, PRIMIR meeting attendees will also hear from Sun Dance Graphics executives JohnHenry Ruggieri, Director of Operations, and Brad Taylor, Director of Business Development, who will share their experiences in "Beating the Odds: Finding New Opportunities in the Printing Industry."

Other meeting highlights will include: "The Rise of Business Development: Creating—Rather than Getting Business," a presentation by industry guru Dr. Joe Webb, Director of WhatTheyThink.com's Economics and Research Center. Also, Sammy Papert, President of Wormhole, will challenge attendees in his session to "Think Differently—Break Out of Your Box."

A key element of any PRIMIR meeting is the presentation of research findings from recently completed PRIMIR research, and this Spring meeting is no exception. Tom Ashley Director and Founder of Pivotal Resources USA will provide new PRIMIR study findings about "Emerging Printing Technologies & Applications," which will be followed by a PRIMIR Member Exchange on the same topic. Complementing Tom's presentation, Doug Schardt, Product Manager with Komori will discuss the company's newest printed electronics offering in a session entitled, "Komori: Technology for the Future."

Self-professed "Standards Guy and Frequent Flyer" Larry Warter of Warter Colors will explore "Industry Standards: Why You Should Be Engaged."

Another PRIMIR signature meeting highlight is time on the program where members will  participate in Task Force meetings to discuss future PRIMIR research projects.
