EPG Announces Eight International Installations

Press release from the issuing company

CENTERBROOK, CT (March 15, 2004) - EPG (Essex Product Group), a leading manufacturer of advanced remote ink control technology, announces eight new KeyColor C systems installations on Tensor T-1400 and T-400BE newspaper presses in the Middle East and Europe. The installations are at Al Waseet, Lebanon, Al Watan, Al Rai Al Aam and Al Sayassah, Kuwait, Al Ghad, Jordan, Belarussian Publishing House, Belarussia, Zaman Newspapers, Turkey, and A-Pressen Group, Norway. EPG’s installations in Lebanon, Jordan, and Turkey represent new markets for the company. Tensor Group, Inc., a privately held manufacturer of single-width web offset press equipment, specified the KeyColor C ink control systems with optional KeyColor AutoSet and AutoPage software. “EPG has been serving established and emerging global markets for over two decades,” says Peter Griffin, President, EPG. “Our installations with Tensor Group, Inc. are a significant achievement and indicative of our long-term commitment to provide high quality printing products and services to the worldwide graphic arts community.” “The rugged KeyColor C remote ink control systems consistently exceed our customers expectations by accelerating makeready time and reducing waste,” says Don Gustafson, President, Tensor Group Inc. “They offer solid, reliable technology that is very easy to use and all of our installations and start-ups have been seamless. EPG’s quality equipment and technical service has been an integral part of our successful global market positioning.” The KeyColor C ink control systems installed on the Tensor T-1400 and T-400BE presses incorporate the KeyColor Smart Fountain, a custom-designed, gasket-sealed unit that is connected to a central ink console, offering operators rapid, remote ink key setting adjustments on all fountains. The user-friendly systems use a menu-driven MS Windows style operator display written in the operator’s spoken language and offer simplified operations controls. Presses enhanced with KeyColor AutoSet software link prepress systems to the press for automatic preset of the fountain keys. Adding KeyColor AutoPage software simplifies setup and color correction by allowing operators to easily locate any newspaper page on the press and then quickly access its corresponding fountain. AutoPage also enables the user to independently control multiple jobs simultaneously where more than one folder is installed. The results are faster makeready and consistent color control.
