Esan Kirjapaino Goes Digital with Agfa Violet CtP System and Workflow

Mortsel, Belgium – 15 March 2004 – Agfa announced Esan Kirjapaino, a major multi-media company based in Finland, has turned to Agfa to convert its prepress department to CtP and a totally digital workflow. Esan Kirjapaino works with a broad range of media companies, such as publishing, newspapers, printing, webnews and local radio. Needing a system that would provide unparalleled quality and speed, Esan Kirjapaino purchased two :Polaris XEV CtP systems, :VSL65 processors and a Nela VCP2002. The company has also signed a two-year plate contract for :N91v plates, :Arkitex workflow including :NewsDriveX and AutoInk. For superior imaging results, Esan Kirjapaino is also implementing Agfa's :Sublima XM screening. "Each of the media companies we work with requires fast, reliable and effective workflow systems. When the time came to update our prepress department to meet the growing demands of the market, taking our partners' needs into consideration, we felt that Agfa's violet CtP newspaper system was the wisest choice we could make," said Esan Kirjapaino production director Juha Mickels.
