Rollins Improves Volume and Quality with Konica Minolta bizhub PRESS C8000

Press release from the issuing company

Ramsey, NJ –– Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) today announces that Rollins Printing & Publishing, Inc. (Rollins) has increased its overall print volume and improved output quality with a Konica Minolta bizhub® PRESS C8000 Color Digital Press.  Rollins also plans to continue expanding its services portfolio with the new capabilities offered by the digital press technology.

Familiar with Konica Minolta during his long career in the publishing industry, Rollins principal Skip Del Vaglio was evaluating competitive solutions to meet the company’s need for improved color output when he was introduced to the bizhub PRESS C8000.  After installing the new Konica Minolta technology, Rollins witnessed an immediate quality improvement that helped further grow the company’s print volume by nearly 50 percent and enable a host of new services capabilities. According to Del Vaglio, the bizhub PRESS C8000 provided the quality the print shop needed, and also the finishing options for a wide range of customer jobs, such as printing color business cards and CD cover inserts. It has also helped improve Rollins’ turnaround times and has decreased downtime significantly.

“Previously, we were running a press at only 65 pages per minute. With the C8000, we were able to run at speeds of 80 pages per minute. Also, the C8000 has allowed us to run jobs with minimal supervision, providing time to work on other projects simultaneously,” says Del Vaglio. “The bizhub PRESS C8000 has met our initial goal of improving the overall quality of our color work and we are now exploring how the technology will allow us to extend new solutions to our customers such as variable data printing (VDP) and mail merge projects. Most importantly, our overall productivity and workflow has been enhanced by the digital press and we value the partnership with Konica Minolta as one that comes with excellent service and support to help grow our business.”

“Commercial printers and graphics professionals continue to witness the benefits of our color digital press technology and how it surpasses their expectations for improving their bottom line,” says Kevin Kern, senior vice president, Marketing, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc.  “Rollins is researching how they can expand their fleet with more Konica Minolta technology and we look forward to ensuring they can always count on us for their document management needs.”
