Roland Academy Announces 2013 Webinar and Workshop Schedule

Press release from the issuing company

Irvine, Calif. – Roland Academy, Roland DGA’s training program, has announced its 2013 schedule, including dozens of new webinars and three “Born to Wrap” vehicle graphics workshops to be held in Irvine, Calif., Louisville, Ky., and Welcome, N.C. (home of Richard Childress Racing).

Roland webinars cover a wide range of topics, including color management, file preparation, advanced software workflows, metallic inkjet printing, gift engraving, serialization, apparel decoration, precision dental milling and subtractive rapid prototyping (SRP).  Registered Roland owners receive unlimited access to all Roland Academy webinars, as well as on-demand access to a comprehensive archive of previously recorded sessions. Webinars are free to Roland registered owners and offered at a nominal cost to others.

Taught by the experts at Digital EFX Wraps, Roland “Born to Wrap” workshops present critical skills and techniques for designing, producing and installing vehicle graphics and wraps.  These courses consistently sell out in advance, so early registration is recommended.

“Roland Academy is an important part of our service and support offering and a great resource for customers at all levels,” said David Hawkes, group product manager for Roland DGA Corp.  “Our ‘Born to Wrap’ workshop continues to draw record attendance and our webinar series has really taken off.  This year we are bringing in a host of new guest webinar instructors to help Roland owners explore new materials, applications and techniques to grow their businesses.”

The industry’s most comprehensive webinar and workshop offering, Roland Academy offers courses for the company’s entire product line, including wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters, vinyl cutters, engraving machines and milling machines.  Instruction is provided by both in-house pros and guest speakers, including experts from some of the industry’s leading software developers, such as CADlink, SAi, Corel, X-Rite, CGS USA, GMG Color and ColorMetrix Technologies, LLC. Many inkjet webinars teach various aspects of VersaWorks workflows for better efficiency and productivity.  Since its inception in early 2011, the Roland Academy webinar program has attracted more than 5,000 participants.
