Özgün Companies Group Chooses New Tensor Press for Book Printing

WOODRIDGE, ILLINOIS, USA - Tensor International LLC, a U.S. manufacturer of single-width web offset press equipment, has been selected by Özgün Companies Group to supply a complete new Tensor pressline for its plant in Ankara, Turkey. This is Tensor’s second press order from a Turkish publisher booked within the last month.

The Özgün press, with two T-400BE towers and an H-50 folder, is scheduled for installation during May of this year. The highly automated press package includes a footprint shaftless drive system with DRCS closed loop register controls, web guiding, remote inking, infeeds and splicers. The two towers have a four-web capacity by utilizing dual unwind features on the splicers.

Özgün will produce textbooks and regional newspapers on the new press. For this niche product, the Tensor H-50 folder is equipped with a double-parallel feature and quarter- and half-fold capability. The cutoff is 565mm.

Tensor had recently announced another press sale to a Turkish Book and magazine printer with similar specifications. That press is scheduled for delivery and install (also in Ankara) during this year’s second quarter.
