Press release from the issuing company

HATFIELD, Hertfordshire – Pitney Bowes will showcase its end-to-end portfolio of communications management solutions at this year’s Hunkeler Innovation Days, including the European launch of the new in-line envelope converting module for the Pitney Bowes Mailstream Wrapper Productivity Series.

The Pitney Bowes stand will demonstrate the cost, quality and efficiency advantages of fully integrating print and mail, and Pitney Bowes experts will be running live applications throughout the five day event.

Wrapper enhancements

New solutions include the Mailstream Wrapper Productivity System with Envelope Converting Module demonstrating complex transactional mail applications with changeovers. This innovative solution – shown for the first time in Europe – uses continuous rolls of paper to produce high-quality wrap material in-line during the mail finishing process. This unique technology allows mailers to cost-effectively produce wrap material with a scalloped flap and window patch, resulting in a finished mailpiece with the appearance of a traditional business envelope.  Integrated seamlessly with the Mailstream Wrapper, the converting module transforms mail finishing into a continuous workflow maximize revenue, increase operational efficiencies and speed time to mailbox.

With this White Paper Factory™ solution, print and mail operations can fully leverage their existing print assets to add high impact images and relevant messaging to the envelope wrap or utilize white paper rolls and print in-line after completion of the mailpiece to increase the value of their customer communications.

Full-colour Print

The stand will also feature a large interactive screen showing the latest Pitney Bowes IntelliJet 20 Printing System.  This high-volume inkjet print solution is providing best-quality full-colour production print for a number of organisations across Europe, with particular interest in the White Paper Factory approach, which enables firms to replace expensive pre-printed stock with plain white paper.

Software sophistication

Dedicated software areas will enable Hunkeler visitors to fully appreciate the productivity gains afforded by the latest Pitney Bowes software solutions. The latest version of Pitney Bowes’ respected P/I OfficeMail will be demonstrated – a hybrid mail solution that enables users to harness the power, quality and cost-efficiency of a purpose-built Pitney Bowes print and mail environment from their own desktop.

Additionally, Pitney Bowes will demonstrate its P/I™ Output Manager Workflow Management Software, a solution that optimises the document workflow and frees users from the limitations of proprietary vendors and data streams.

Intelligent insertion

Pitney Bowes’ mail insertion pedigree will also be highlighted in the shape of the latest FastPac DI950 Inserting System. Designed to make the mailing operation more effective, the DI950 features innovations such as the PacPilot user interface, intelligent folding technology and dynamic envelope aligner meaning less time spent setting up jobs.

ServiceMax

Efficient and robust pre- and post-sales service takes on added significance in a tough economic climate. Pitney Bowes will unveil its new ServiceMax approach at Hunkeler, a solution that aligns its service business into its existing Sales force platform, replacing many independent in country systems with one common aligned cloud based service management solution across Europe. ServiceMax gives the Pitney Bowes engineering work force an iPad app driven, agile and flexible customer-facing tool to further enhance the customer experience by increasing service performance and solutions productivity and throughput.

Christoph Stehmann, President, Pitney Bowes Document Messaging Technologies, comments: “Hunkeler is always an important event in our calendar and we attend this year’s event with a truly end-to-end solution set that is designed to drive efficiency, quality and, ultimately, business growth for our customers.
