Graph-Tech to demonstrate MonoCube with new integrated quality assurance solution at Hunkeler Innovationdays

Press release from the issuing company

Switzerland - Swiss-based Graph-Tech AG, a Domino Group Company, will be demonstrating its newly launched MonoCube inkjet press with added functionality at the Hunkeler Innovationdays in Lucerne, Switzerland between February 11th and 15th.

Following the printing press’s successful European debut at Drupa 2012 and its North American launch at Graph Expo in September, Graph-Tech has been continually innovating and developing the MonoCube. The machine being demonstrated at the Innovationdays, in a Roll-to-Roll configuration with Hunkeler Unwind and Rewind units, will feature a live display screen, which will give real-time information on printer output – including the pages printed, the speed in pages per minute, ink usage and cost per page.

“This is a great chance to see the MonoCube doing what it does best, and that is running a real job at real time, incredibly cost-effectively”, says Bryan Palphreyman, Commercial Director at Graph-Tech. “Using a display screen featuring real-time data on the job being printed - there is no better way to demonstrate how our
advanced printing solution will transform people’s businesses!” Palphreyman adds.

MonoCube is a monochrome high-speed inkjet printing press aimed at the transactional, mailing, book-on-demand and security print sector. It has been specially designed to drastically lower cost per page to typically just €0.002. The disruptive business model offers MonoCube to the market with a one-off-purchase price with no further click charges or maintenance contracts. The MonoCube printing press can print at widths of up to 783mm (30.8 inches), at speeds of up to 150m/minute (492 feet) and can print simplex or duplex within the same Cube.

At the Hunkeler Innovationdays, thousands of international visitors will have the unique opportunity to witness live machines in action in a production-style environment, across nearly every print segment. This will enable delegates to compare and evaluate different solutions and gather essential information on how to make their business more profitable.

MonoCube units are being developed for installations at ‘early adopter’ sites in Europe and North America.
