OKI Data Americas Marks 40 Years

Press release from the issuing company

Commemorates Day with Celebrations throughout North and South America

Mount Laurel, NJ – Today, OKI Data Americas – with offices throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Latin America – observed forty years since its establishment in December of 1972. The printer manufacturing company marked the day-long celebration honoring the company's history with festivities for all of its team members, including the 325 people based at its headquarters in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.

OKI Data was formed as a joint venture between OKI Electric Industry Company, Ltd. of Tokyo, Japan, and a member of the former RCA Computer Division, introducing its first product to market – the LP500 line printer – in 1973. Today, OKI Data manufactures and markets a broad portfolio of award-winning printing solutions from color and mono single- and multi-function devices, to label and point-of-sale products, to commercial-grade digital color units for the graphic arts and production space.

OKI Data Americas attributes its longevity and success to several key sources, including its employees, its distribution partners, and its loyal customer base.

"OKI Data Americas is proud of its long-term standing as a provider of innovative printing solutions and looks forward to another successful forty years," said Scott Becker, Executive Vice President of North America Sales and Marketing for OKI Data Americas. "We thank our team of dedicated employees for their service to the company, in addition to all those who have contributed to OKI's success – most especially our channel partners and loyal customers."
