Oce Arizona T220UV Inkjet Printer Wins DIMA Creative Application Award

Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO, March 11 -- Oce, a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, announced today that the Oce Arizona T220UV flatbed inkjet printer won the Creative Application, Alternative Substrate award presented by the Digital Imaging Marketing Association (DIMA) during the Photo Marketing Association (PMA) 2004 Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, February 11-15, 2004. The winning creative application was a set of vinyl window mini-blinds. Off-the-shelf, white vinyl mini-blinds were disassembled and laid flat onto the vacuum table of the Oce Arizona T220UV. An image was printed directly onto the vinyl blinds, which were re-strung and submitted to the DIMA judges. Onyx PosterShop® 6.0 software was used to RIP the image and manage color reproduction. This award reflects the creativity that can be achieved with the Oce Arizona T220UV printer. Its sister product, the solvent-based Oce Arizona T220 printer, won in this same category last year with a chest-of-drawers entry. About the Oce Arizona T220UV The Oce Arizona T220UV is a versatile and cost-effective UV-curable inkjet flatbed printer. It can print directly onto a variety of uncoated or coated, flexible or rigid substrates up to 62 inches wide by 120 inches long by 2 inches thick such as foam boards, vinyl, PVC sheets, tile, carpet and more. There is no minimum print size, which eliminates the need to use more material than necessary. A production speed inkjet printer, the Oce Arizona T220UV uses piezo printing technology and UV-curable inks to produce outdoor-durable output. With four print heads per color, the Oce Arizona T220UV can achieve true production print speeds of up to 170 square feet per hour in four-pass mode and up to 90 square feet per hour in eight-pass mode. It is ideal for producing exhibit graphics, point-of-purchase displays, proofs and comps plus specialty items such as custom tiles, furniture panels and window blinds.
