WoodWing's Next Wave Tour Satisfied Tablet Information Hunger

Press release from the issuing company

Eight stops in Europe, four in the Americas and four in Asia – WoodWing traveled the world with its Next Wave Tour this year. The series of free seminars wrapped up as a huge success. Close to 1,600 attendees in total gathered in-depth information how they can address the next steps in the evolution of digital publishing. Based on the positive feedback from participants and supporting partners, WoodWing will continue to tour the world next year, keeping attendees informed about the latest industry news and product developments.

At its global Next Wave Tour WoodWing welcomed an average of 100 participants from newspaper and magazine publishers, corporates and agencies per event (left Tokyo, right Switzerland).

Early this year, WoodWing launched its global Next Wave Tour to share its vision on Digital Publishing – the efficient creation and successful monetization of interactive content for tablets. These events featured speakers from local publishing customers, WoodWing and its partners, as well as Adobe. The agenda of each event offered an attractive mix of high-profile keynotes, customer success stories and technical lectures.

WoodWing welcomed an average of 100 participants from newspaper and magazine publishers, corporates and agencies per event (images are available on Pinterest). "The tour allows for a direct and personal dialogue with customers and prospects," said Gerard van den Akker, Marketing Manager at WoodWing Software. "We got very positive feedback from the visitors, our partners and Adobe."

"Our Next Wave Tour 2012 highlighted the strong demand for vital information publishers and agencies need in terms of monetization of their tablet publishing activities," said Hans Janssen, CEO of WoodWing. "For our Solution Partners and us, the tour was the most successful marketing activity next to the World Publishing Expo 2012 in October."

The tour continues – new format and content
WoodWing will continue to tour the world in 2013 – with an adapted format and content. There will be an even stronger focus on customer cases, multi-channel publishing and Digital Asset Management (WoodWing recently acquired Elvis DAM).

"We see more and more publishers switching to real multi-channel publishing, offering media-rich content in print, on the Web and for smartphones and tablets," Hans Janssen added. "We're convinced our publishing system Enterprise, in combination with Elvis DAM, is the perfect solution to deal with such challenges."

The tour will again visit publishing hubs in Europe, the United States, Latin America, Asia, and for the first time, South Africa. More details will soon become available.
