Xerox, Industry Partners Offer Print Providers The Widest Range Of Workflow Solutions

Press release from the issuing company

NEW YORK, March 9, 2004 - Working with more than 100 leading software and hardware industry partners, Xerox Corporation has created the most comprehensive range of workflow solutions in support of its production printing and publishing products - DocuColor, DocuPrint and DocuTech digital systems. Xerox's Business Partner Program has unified several worldwide partner programs into one, enabling partners to develop integrated customer workflow solutions with Xerox's FreeFlow Digital Workflow Collection*, the company's strategic workflow initiative that helps print providers reduce costs, improve efficiency and increase revenue by optimizing existing workflows for digital printing. "By integrating our FreeFlow Digital Workflow Collection with our partners' software and hardware products, we extend the functionality of our customers' workflow," said Michael Kucharski, vice president and general manager, Workflow Business Team, Xerox Production Systems Group. "It also opens up opportunities for our partners to expand their businesses, and it gives print providers the ability to be more successful with digital printing." There are currently three levels of partnership in the Xerox Business Partner Program. A potential partner's level is based on their business - including reach and presence, breadth of offering and mutually beneficial business opportunities. Once a partner has entered the program, Xerox supports them with sales training, sales and marketing tools, and development elements that include product validation, equipment access and Software Development Kits enabling tighter integration with Xerox's FreeFlow offerings. "Working with Xerox has provided us with opportunities beyond our expectations," said Chip Culley, vice president of sales, XMPie. "Our variable-data solution, together with Xerox's workflow framework, provides printers the ability to achieve significantly better ROIs on their present work, while strategically positioning their companies for data-driven cross-media campaigns in the future." Through partnerships with some of the best in the industry, Xerox is providing print providers with faster, more consistent and more secure document processes from job creation and ordering to fulfillment and distribution. Xerox partners are particularly important in helping print providers implement variable information printing. Xerox has now validated four additional partners for its VIPP (Variable-data Intelligent Postscript Printware) application for merging data into digital documents at high speeds. Newly validated applications are Atlas Printshop Mail, Elixir Vitesse, Exstream Dialogue, and XMPie's PersonalEffect*. In addition, Xerox has added a new SDK to its growing portfolio, demonstrating its commitment to providing complete access to the full feature set of Xerox production printers.
