KBA-MePrint Showcased at Cartes 2012

Press release from the issuing company

Towards the end of the second half of each year, experts in the fields of security and card technologies for ID systems, prepaid applications, and entry and member cards come together at Cartes in Paris. KBA-MePrint AG is a permanent member of this community of card printing and customisation providers, and is once again this year presenting itself and its latest technical developments as trade fair highlights.

This year, KBA-MePrint AG showcased the new Genius 52UV with integrated rainbow printing device – and the waterless UV offset printing machine used in connection with innovative security print characteristics like UV-readable inks and microtext most definitely left an impression. A wide variety of specialist applications (incl. ID cards on polycarbonate or club cards on PVC) were used to help visualise the superior quality of these integrated security features live and first hand for large numbers of visitors.

But the KBA-MePrint AG stand at this year's Cartes, which was held from November 6 - 8, 2012, had another ace up the sleeve: A printing unit from the popular OC200 range. The much disputed right of existence of this worldwide most successful single card printing machine has been gaining momentum on the basis of numerous new investments in China, France, Turkey, and the US. Low wastage rates for proofs, and the elimination of ink adjustment during print runs traditionally required, are time and cost saving factors that play an important role in security printing just as much as in any other printing sector. This modular printing machine is particularly well suited for smallest formats with small to medium print runs, and has proven to be exceedingly efficient.??KBA-MePrint AG has therefore once again established its supreme specialist competence in the sector for premium quality print and customisation systems, and security printing in particular at this Number One industry event.
