The new PDF/A-3 standard allows to save related documents into a single PDF/A file, even if the related document formats are others than PDF, meaning that the archived document and the original document in its original format can now be combined into a PDF/A file. This function opens new application scenarios that callas software will demonstrate in the webinar.

PDF/UA is the ISO standard for accessible PDF documents. As more and more regulations and laws require documents to be accessible by everyone, including people with disabilities, PDF/UA is becoming increasingly important. As a result, checking against the PDF/UA standard has gained importance for service providers, governments and enterprises. During the webinar, callas software will present how to implement accessible PDF documents.

The centerpoint of it all is the so-called "tagging", which ensures that a PDF's logical structure is stored correctly. This way, visually impaired people using a Braille reader or a screen reader, will have access to the PDF. The same goes for people with learning disabilities who use special reading software to have access to the content of a PDF file. A correct tagged PDF is also an important requirement for export to EPUB and eBook files in order to publish on mobile devices. This subject will also be covered during the webinar.

Finally, the webinar participants will also learn more on how to distribute document processing through integration of multiple servers in a network.
