Dana Consulting and PINE to Co-Sponsor New England Print Buyer Panel

Press release from the issuing company

Dana Consulting, a company specializing in helping printers and print buyers communicate, and PINE, the Printing Industries of New England, which is the graphic arts trade association serving all of New England, are co-sponsoring their 2nd annual print buyer panel on Thursday, April 22. “Buying Print Today: Hear What Customers Are Saying!” will take place from 5:30 to 9 pm at the Sheraton Needham Hotel in Needham, MA. Margie Dana, president of Dana Consulting, will moderate a 75-minute panel discussion. Ms. Dana is a former corporate print buyer who founded her firm in 1997 to promote effective communication between printers and their customers. The panelists are all experienced professionals. They include Rebecca Anderson of Pioneer Investment Management, Diane Dragoff of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay, designer Fritz Klaetke of Visual Dialogue, and Monica Lee of the MIT Publishing Services Bureau. They’ll have an unscripted, candid discussion of critical issues they face as print customers. The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions as well. Industry specialist Peter Muir of IO Technologies will be presenting the “Top 10 Technologies You Need to Know” following the panel discussion. Peter is president and co-founder of I.O. Technologies, a graphic arts education, consulting, and research company. “New England printers and customers need events like this, where they can come together to socialize and learn from each other,” says Ms. Dana. “Last year’s event was a major success, with over 150 people in attendance. This year will be even better. I'm asking tougher questions that address the future of print procurement, and we're adding a guest speaker who will talk about technologies that buyers need to know.” “Whether you buy printing, sell printing, are a paper or mailing professional, or are involved in graphic arts in other ways, this event is not to be missed,” noted Beth White, PINE’s Director of Education.
