App Studio to Support New iPads

Press release from the issuing company

Denver, CO – Designers interested in creating apps for the upcoming iPad mini and the new fourth generation iPad can call on App StudioTM. Available in early November, App Studio is the only digital publishing solution that allows designers to create branded apps with QuarkXPress and InDesign or even through powerful automation using XML. App Studio will enable users to publish to the iPhone, iPad, Kindle Fire, Android tablets and smartphones, and now the iPad mini and the fourth generation iPad.

App Studio works with HTML5 to transform print and XML content into pixel-perfect, rich content that plays perfectly across a broad range of devices and all packaged within a native app. Since App Studio takes advantage of what a mobile device already does best, the lead-time to support a new device is extremely low – which means customers can roll out award-winning custom app experiences on new devices faster than ever before. What's more, as App Studio apps use real text, when apps are deployed to new devices such as the iPad mini and new fourth generation iPad, the quality of the reading experience, in terms of fonts and text, is immediate and optimized to the device - with no extra payload in terms of design time or file size.
