Challenge Machinery Introduces New OS for Cutting Equipment

Press release from the issuing company

State-of-the-art TC Controller System Will Offer More Efficient, User-Friendly Cutting Experience

The Challenge Machinery Company, a leading manufacturer of specialized cutting, drilling, and other print finishing equipment to graphic arts businesses worldwide, announces they have introduced a new operating system for their Titan and Champion paper cutter lines. The new system – scheduled to be available 1Q 2013 – will improve ease-of-use, increase operating efficiency, and reduce makeready times for Challenge cutters.

The TC Controller System offers several new features that will benefit Challenge customers. Its color touch screen panel offers a clean, simple design with intuitive prompts, improving ease-of-use. Faster backgauge positioning and instant start-up increase cutting efficiency. Ethernet and USB ports allow the TC to receive programs automatically, eliminating the need for time-consuming manual programming.

Other innovative improvements – such as main screen "repeat commands" – streamline the operation of complex multiple cut jobs, leading to shorter makeready times.

"The TC Controller system is an important milestone in Challenge's long history of innovation," said Britt Cary, Challenge Sales Manager. "Every new or enhanced feature this system offers is geared toward improving production efficiency and operator ease-of-use – two main goals for everything we do."
