ON DEMAND 2004 JDF Workflow Tours Announced

ON DEMAND 2004 NEW YORK, N.Y.--March 4, 2004-- Advanstar Communications today announced a preview of the upcoming ON DEMAND 2004 Conference & Expo, taking place March 8-10 at the Javits Convention Center in New York. Co-produced with CAP Ventures and co-located with AIIM 2004 and the Digital Marketing Symposium, ON DEMAND 2004 is the largest enterprise technology event in New York City. It is the only conference and exposition dedicated to the technologies that personalize, manage, produce, print, and deliver content. New to ON DEMAND 2004, the JDF Workflow Tours demonstrate workflow functions being automated through the use of JDF (Job Definition Format). This is a large-scale presentation of industry vendors integrating multiple products to create an automated workflow using the JDF standard. Participating tour vendors include Creo, EFI, HP, Printable, WAM!NET, Objective Advantage, and WAVE Corp. The JDF Workflow Tours exhibit interoperability across vendors to show real-world, complex inter-relationships and implementations, as well as financial benefits. The partners will host a press conference on Monday, March 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in room 1D 03/04 to review the technologies and processes involved with the Books for Schools program. On Wednesday, March 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., Books for Schools industry partners will present the New York City school system with the literary books at an acceptance ceremony featuring Dr. Askia Davis, Superintendent, New York City Department of Education Office of Strategic Partnerships. Document Efficiency Center The Document Efficiency Center, presented by IKON Office Solutions and Doculabs, and in conjunction with Electronic Document Systems Foundation (EDSF), is located on the show floor to educate attendees on new printing technologies and solutions. The Document Efficiency Center focuses on emerging trends and issues in document management - from input, job management, storage and retrieval, variable data and color to streamlined production solutions. Office Document Technology Program The Office Document Technology Program focuses on new document technologies and services available to help an office communicate efficiently and function more cost effectively. The Office Document Technology Program will also identify workflow challenges and offer solutions to better manage document output.
