Tom Zotos Quote
"We live in a world of ever-evolving technological breakthroughs that are designed to capture and elevate our attention spans and understanding," notes Zotos. "In the printing community, science has enabled the artist to develop crisper and more high-definition messaging imagery that is near lifelike, but remains in a 2-D realm. Scodix's tools enable us to break away from typical print limitations and offer our audiences a 3-D feel that touches our senses beyond sight. It gives my craft of collectible art, as well as those in packaging, POP, and promotional signage, a look and feel that recaptures our imaginations and broadens our creative horizons."
Scodix Feedback
"At Scodix, we believe we are making a real difference in the commercial and digital printing industry, and more importantly in the businesses of each and every customer," notes Dror Danai, Vice President, Sales and Business Development, Scodix. "Yet it is still very exciting to have earned and received the industry and celebrity endorsement of someone who has made such an illustrious career out of impacting the world through his heightened sense of creativity and foresight. The demand for his work is only surpassed by his passion for his craft and the affect it has on his ever-growing audience. We are honored to have him endorse our Scodix SENSE and Scodix Rainbow technology as tools that further his mission."
More About Tom Zotos
Artist/Publisher Tom Zotos is a pioneer of the Interpretive Licensed Art movement and over the past three decades, has successfully partnered with movie and TV studios, comic book, cartoon and video game companies and the music industry.
Many of Tom's most successful initiatives have featured a key Social Innovation element, whereby worthy causes receive proceeds from the sale of his art. His most recent impactful program was produced in conjunction with the Hard Rock International organization, featuring both a custom Jimi Hendrix commemorative art guitar t-shirt and pin. Since its launch, the program has generated millions of dollars in revenue, with proceeds going to both the Fender Music Foundation and the Experience Hendrix Foundation's Jimi Hendrix Park project in his hometown of Seattle.
Other Milestones
While working with Warner Bros., he published the commemorative collectible art piece "Speechless", an iconic visual tribute to famed voice actor Mel Blanc, which had the side effect of introducing animation art to the world's adult population. "Speechless" depicts the Looney Tunes characters with bowed heads in front of an empty microphone, and it became the highest grossing lithograph in animation history, with The Wall Street Journal reporting sales in excess of $20 million.
Tom built and launched the original Disney Fine Art program.
When George Lucas unveiled his Star Wars saga at the Smithsonian Institute, Tom was summoned to create exclusive merchandise that sold out at the nation's prestigious museum.
art of innovation
While visiting with Tom, booth attendees are encouraged to take the opportunity to speak with him about his latest endeavor - art of innovation – a new company that he recently co-founded with Interactive/Experiential Marketing/Branding specialist Stuart Pickard.
art of innovation is a creative agency, formed to uniquely amplify the brand messages of retail chains, Content rights holders and charitable causes. This is achieved through the application of themed Ambient Content (including custom art), presented in a contextual fusion of Print (featuring Scodix) and Digital displays (including iPads and a wide variety of screen technologies).
