Durst Wide-Format Digital Printers at Graph Expo

Press release from the issuing company

Reflects 'Print Integrated' Theme with Digital Solutions for Traditional Workflows

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Durst U.S., representing the world leader in wide- format and grand-format digital printing platforms for production environments, will exhibit its wide-format digital imaging capabilities at the Graph Expo conference and trade show, Oct. 7-10 in Chicago's McCormick Place South.

Durst will feature its 98-inch Rho P10 250 UV Inkjet Digital Flatbed Printer – equipped with the company's proprietary Quadro Array 10-picoliter print heads that deliver remarkable versatility, productivity and 1,000-dpi resolution for "fine art" quality output. The Rho P10 250, along with information on Durst's full line of UV inkjet digital printing platforms, can be found in Booth #858.

"The theme for Graph Expo's 2012 conference – 'Print Integrated' – is a perfect fit with Durst's larger strategy to equip the printing industry with the latest digital platforms for integration into traditional printers' workflows," said Christopher Howard, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Durst U.S. "Whether it's a critical step in a larger process, or fulfilling a new print application, Durst printers handle the task and make the traditional print shop more profitable."

To explain its strategy and the capabilities of its printers, Durst will conduct a press conference during Graph Expo, which begins at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, in Room S502a of McCormick Center South. Howard and other Durst executives will be on hand to make the presentation and field questions from members of the press. "Demos" on the Rho P10 250 also will be conducted in Durst's exhibit booth (#858) throughout the show.

Rho P10 250
The versatile Rho P10 250, a member of Durst's new Rho P10 Series, is designed primarily for large-format print providers looking for a way to output a wide variety of hand-held and eye-level materials – such as backlit signage, POP and commercial displays, small packages, etc. – cost- effectively and at production speeds.

Rho P10 250 output displays the finest color graduations and virtually perfect color reproduction, while maintaining high levels of cost-efficiency and flexibility. The added ability to print light cyan and light magenta further enhances its image quality and range. The 98-inch- wide Rho P10 250 – which prints up to 2,000 s.f./hr. – can print simultaneously on two parallel boards / panels, raising its productivity and versatility even further. It can run uninterrupted for 24/7 production.

As with all Rho digital print platforms, the new P10 printers are equipped with Durst's unmatched workflow software, easy-to-operate intuitive user interface, precision media transport systems, and other proven components that achieve high efficiency, productivity and versatility. The Rho P10 Series made its North American debut this past spring at the International Sign Association's conference and trade show.

"Durst has raised the bar with this exciting new family of 10-picoliter, production-level digital printers," Howard said. "We're introducing Durst's quality and productivity to a new segment of print providers, and providing new options to wide- and grand-format print providers who might already be Durst customers."
